Executive Summary
Tanzanians in Spain (TiS) is a community-based organization founded to support Tanzanians, East Africans, and the broader African minority living, studying, working, or visiting Spain. Our vision is to create a trusted platform that acts as a bridge between people, stakeholders, and institutions, fostering integration, education, cultural exchange, and socio-economic empowerment.
TiS will serve as a hub to connect African communities with opportunities in Spain and back home in East Africa, offering services ranging from student support to housing assistance, cultural events, and online education.

Student Support Program
- University and visa application guidance
- Collaboration with studying agencies and educational consultants
- Mentorship and student orientation events
- Academic support network
Housing and Integration Assistance
- Help with finding accommodation (shared, rental, or student housing)
- Integration support: navigating legal paperwork, language barriers, and local systems
- Partnerships with real estate agents and local councils
Cultural & Social Events
- Monthly or quarterly meetups with food, music, and social activities
- Community barbecues, festivals, and holiday celebrations
- Cultural exchange programs with Spanish communities
Swahili Language School
- Online Swahili classes for kids and adults
- In-person sessions for local Spanish communities or children of immigrants
- Certification and progressive learning levels
Tourism & Exchange Facilitation
- Help Spaniards and Africans travel to/from Tanzania or Spain
- Partner with tour operators in Tanzania and Spain
- Organize cultural trips and exchange programs for youth and professionals

Parliament of Catalunya Invitation with Black Women
East Africans in Spain had the honor of participating in a special visit to the Parlament de Catalunya, organized under the invitation of Black Women Lead.
International Food Day – Tanzanians Participated
Tanzanians in Spain proudly represented Tanzania/East Africans at International Food Day in the university, showcasing Pilau with chicken & Kachumbari, which was voted the most preferred dish of the event.
